Giclee canvas coating
When printing on canvas, it is absolutely necessary to coat the material either here before it ships or later if for example the artist wants to embellish the giclee. Failure to do so will result in fading, scratching and possibly yellowing of the optical brighteners present in the canvas. If you decide to varnish the giclee after it is stretched, please take some care while handling it. The materials we use are scuff resistant but the chance to scratch or damage the print are higher. The issue of water damage is very low because our canvas is water resistant.
We take every care to package the rolled art to prevent problems. Stretching of properly coated canvas is similar to an oil or acrylic. Our system creates very tough prints that can be touched, wiped and handled with ease.
