A new addition to available giclee printing equipment
As probably some of you know by now, Epson has announced a new line of high end printers. What has attracted our attention is the new 9800. From preliminary releases it looks like the bar for giclee printing quality will be raised once more: new pigmented inks, one more color (8-color Epson UltraChrome K3™ Inks), Advanced Black & White Printing Technology and higher print speeds. Epson already has the best printhead technology out there. As a matter of fact other giclee printer manufacturers buy the heads from Epson! We hear there will be a higher Dmax, wider gamut, less metamerism and more scratch resistance. Unfortunately this printer will not be available until this fall. We of course expect to test it before purchasing but considering what we have seen so far, it looks like it will be our next addition. We will make an announcement as soon as we will have one in operation.
